Your Ultimate Guide to the Farsons Beer Festival (July 23 – August 1)

If you are staying in Malta in late July, you’ve hit the jackpot. July 23rd marks the official opening night of the legendary Farsons Beer Festival, Malta’s biggest 10-day open-air celebration! Held at the sprawling Ta’ Qali National Park, this festival brings together thousands of locals and travellers every night for live music, amazing street food, and cold local beer. If you're staying at Bella Vista Hotel, Ta' Qali is an easy taxi ride or quick bus trip away. Here is everything you need to know before you go!

1. What to Expect (And Why Entry is Free!)

Unlike many major European festivals, entry to the Farsons Beer Festival is completely free! The gates open around 8:00 PM each night as the temperature drops, making it the perfect night-out option after a sunny day at the beach.

2. Live Music Across Multiple Stages

Music is at the heart of the festival. You’ll find several stages showcasing a massive range of local talent, from top Maltese rock bands and acoustic artists to acoustic sets and acoustic lineups across the main stage and alternative stages. It’s a fantastic way to experience Malta's vibrant local music scene under the stars.

3. Taste Local Maltese Brews & Eats

The festival is named after Simonds Farsons Cisk, the famous local brewery. Naturally, you’ll be able to sip cold, fresh draughts of Cisk, Malta's beloved golden lager, as well as craft specialty beers. To go with your drink, explore a food court packed with local grilled meats, pizza, burgers, and traditional Maltese treats.

Bella Vista Insider Tip:

Plan to arrive around 8:30 PM to beat the parking rush and grab a good spot near the main stage. When you're ready to head back, our reception desk can help you order a ride straight back to your air-conditioned room at the hotel!
